Gigabyte Radeon RX 460 WindForce 2X OC 2GB Overclocking
Despite this card being powered only by the PCI-E bus, Radeon WattMan and compatible overclocking utilities still allow you to raise the power limit to 150 percent. This seemed counter-intuitive to us, but we put faith in our motherboard and did it anyway since we're interested in obtaining a maximum overclock. We wouldn't recommend doing this in normal circumstances, especially long term, but we've also reached out to AMD to comment on just how safe this is. As well as this, we set the temperature limit to 90°C.
In the end, the card was stable with an extra 80MHz added to the boost clock, which then stood at 1,292MHz. This is a 6 percent increase, and while the card didn't manage to sustain this speed solidly, it did come very close, never dropping to less than 1,270MHz.
The memory played nice, keeping stable even at 8Gbps, a 14 percent boost.
